Take Charge: EV Charging Pre-Apprenticeship Program

HIRE360’s Electrical Vehicle program is a 9-week pre-apprentice training program that will introduce participants to the Electrical Vehicle industry. This program will also help transition participants to enter into the Building Trades Apprenticeship program such as IBEW 134, Auto Mechanic Local 701, IBEW Local 701, and other employer opportunities.

Program offerings include:

  • Understanding Electric Vehicle and Charging Systems
  • Electrical Safety Standards certificate
  • Career planning
  • Site tours
  • Networking opportunities
  • OSHA-30 certification
  • Stipend upon successful program completion

To apply for the program, you must be an Illinois resident who is 18 or older, must possess an MC3 certificate, authorized to work in the U.S., have a valid driver’s license, be able to pass a drug test, possess a GED or HS diploma with a C or better in HS Algebra or higher and have a genuine desire to seek a construction job.
