Meet The HIRE360 Board

Hire360 is steered and mentored by accomplished individuals from a select collection of organizations with decades of experience in property development, construction and labor support in Illinois. With access to deep resources, thoughtful services, and vetted processes and programs, the team is uniquely prepared to elevate communities through recruitment, employment and advancement opportunities.

Don serves as Senior Vice President of Construction at Related Midwest and leads a robust equity, diversity and inclusion program to increase participation and equitable access of underrepresented groups in the industry. Don serves as the Board Chair for HIRE360.

Mike serves as the President of Nacional Group LLC, where his experience in the industry as both the past President of the Chicagoland Associated General Contractors and former President of McHugh Construction positions him as a strong advocate for opportunities in the trades and shaping the industry to be more inclusive. Mike serves as the Board Treasurer for HIRE360.

Don has shaped his career to advance workers’ rights and career opportunities with experience as a licensed attorney, serving as President of NABET-CWA Local 41, and working as Secretary-Treasurer for the Chicago Federation of Labor. Don serves as the Board Secretary for HIRE360.

Rashied brings his experience as a former Chicago Bear Wide Receiver and a co-founder of Saturday Place to fuel his ongoing commitment towards Chicago youth mentorship.

Pat serves as the secretary-treasurer of the Illinois AFL-CIO representing labor unions, works on the Illinois State Employment Security Advisory Board and was the former President of the Associated Fire Fighters of IL.

Lisa has a wealth of experience in economics and governmental law, having served as legislative counsel at the City of Chicago Mayor’s Office and as a current partner at Croke Fairchild Duarte & Beres.

Pastor Harrell is the co-founder of the Black Men United Foundation. He has a deep commitment to community service and supporting urban communities.

Jonathan is the Director of Diversity for the Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council as well as President of Labor Brothers United, sharing a commitment to diversify the Trades and help members build strong careers.

Karen serves as the first woman President of UNITE HERE Local 1, Chicago’s hospitality workers union, and under her leadership, the organization has achieved significant victories toward ensuring that hospitality jobs are high-quality, family-sustaining careers.

Mike serves as President of the Chicago & Cook County Building Trades, a role dedicated to convening community partnerships and building opportunities for workers.

Julia was the former President of the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, one of the nation’s largest philanthropies. Her dedication to community welfare is evident from past roles as the Commissioner of the Department of Housing for the city and the Chief of Staff to Mayor Richard M. Daley.

Arthur Zayas Miller is the President and CEO of MZI Group. He grew MZI Group into a leading turnkey electric vehicle infrastructure contractor. His career includes founding MZI Group in 1999, adding a telecom division in 2018, and forging partnerships with major utilities, municipalities, and commercial enterprises.
